In September 2019, ECR met in Houston, TX with leading Novelis engineers & scientists to brainstorm about a recycling robot. Working together, students and scientists came up with a variety of features and criteria for the robot. Returning home to Georgia, the students got to work defining the overall process for crushing cans, and came up with the mechanism below.
